Annual Gardening Event
May 9, 2020
Sierra House would like to invite you to join us for our 5th Annual Gardening Event. This activity is designed to enrich lives through the joys of gardening. We are looking for people who are interested in gardening and caring for plants. No specific skills or knowledge is required. Training and support will be provided. If it rains the event will be rescheduled. You can volunteer for a couple of hours or the whole day. Breakfast and lunch will be served. International Cooking Day
Every 4th Friday
Sierra House invites volunteers to cook an International meal with Sierra House residents every 4th Friday at 6pm. If you would like to volunteer for this event please contact Tanya Taylor at email@example.com.
Annual Christmas Event
December 5, 2020
Sierra House invites you to bring in the holiday season with us as we decorate our Christmas tree and the house with decorative Christmas ornaments and lights. Please rsvp with Halimah at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As a volunteer tutor you will work under the supervision of a teacher assisting residents with homework assignments. All volunteers must be willing to donate one hour a week for at least six months.
SHELP Teacher Assistants
As a volunteer SHELP teacher assistant, you must enjoy working with children and sharing your professional experiences to help improve their self-esteem. Volunteers will work under the supervision of a teacher and learn to teach class lessons. All volunteers must be willing to donate two hours once a month preferably for a period of 3-6 months.

Groups and individuals can get involved by sponsoring a collection of goods that will help residents with their day to day living. Sierra House welcomes sponsorship of a:
Toiletry Drive- groups and individuals can collect and donate toiletries such as soap, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, hair products, etc.
Baby Toiletry Drive- groups and individuals can collect and donate baby toiletries such as baby soap, lotion, pampers, powder, shampoo, etc.
Food Drive- groups and individuals can collect and donate canned goods, dry goods such as cereal and dry foods for babies.
Linen Drive- groups and individuals can collect and donate bedding such as twin extra long- sheets and comforters, pillows, towels, washcloths, and comforters for adults and babies.
Book Drive- groups and individuals can collect and donate age appropriate books for children and young adults.
